Video Short - Summer Pike Fishing - The One That Got Away

Most anglers have experienced the frustration of the one that got away. I was up in north Buckinghamshire visiting family, which is just about as far from the sea as you can get. I decided to do some summer Pike fishing with lures and noticed a Pike sitting in the margin in about a foot and a half of water and tried to catch it. This resulted in capturing some great footage of the Pike taking the plug and the fight with the Pike, which I unfortunately lost.

The short video below shows what happened.

  2. Hi Robbie. Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, the company that was making and supplying the pots is no longer doing so which is a great shame as they are very good and the best collapsible pots I could find in the UK. The following is the only one I can find at the moment that is supposed to be suitable for kayaks and looks suitable for large crabs/lobsters however, is not collapsible. I have not tried it but may give it a go one day. here is the link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LOBSTER-CRAB-POT-CREEL-16-42cm-KAYAK-SMALL-BOAT-DINGHY-/111579272125?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item19faa493bd
